This Simple Prayer
This simple prayer
protects me
drapes itself around me
like silken breath
This simple prayer carries me
through battlefields of despair
round dark sinkholes of depression
inside a fragile shell of hope
This simple prayer
holds me
cradles me in
shimmering skies
and covers me
with moonlight

This is a lovely poem. What an interesting bio, too.
