Neon Prism Gaze by Danica Cvieta Milić

Photo Art © Carl Scharwath

Neon Prism Gaze

In neon-lit streets, where shadows play,

A prism's gaze refracts the city's sway,

Vibrant hues ignite, like sparks fly,

Unleashing energy, a futuristic delight.

Yellow-orange whispers, a joyful shout,

Optimism bursts, as creativity sprouts,

Bold and bright, like a sunrise high,

Illuminating paths, where dreams take flight.

Pink pulses beat, like a techno heart,

Retro-futurism, a modern work of art,

Green lasers cut, through the urban haze,

A neon dreamworld, where individuality's praised.

In this kaleidoscope, we find our stage,

A world of self-expression, where we engage,

Unconventional, playful, and boldly lit,

The neon prism's gaze invites us to emit.

A burst of energy, a creative spark,

In this vibrant dawn, we leave our mark.

REVEALING By Danica Cvieta Milić

REVEALING

How can I not thank
Life for having you now?
How can I not think of you
if you are the owner of my mind?
How can I forgive time for not
allowing me to discover you before?
How can I not understand that
the past is the same present?
How could I know that you were hiding
behind a star and this universe
had not revealed your shadow yet?

Blue universe where I shine
because you give me your light,
deep universe as deep as your love...
How can I not reveal myself to you,
if you are me and I am you?
With your love you do magic
from nothing and nothing
becomes everything
in your presence!

The Prime Directive by Darrell Petska and Brent Skinner

The Prime Directive

If I were tailor to Starship Earth,

I’d jettison adulthood’s tin armors

for a one-size-fits-all garment

woven of childhood’s lost chrysalis

nourished early on joy and the wonders

of our miraculous universe—

rainbow-hued would be such attire,

retaining the warmth of parental love,

the exquisite suppleness of childhood hope,

and the durability of family faith

in the essential goodness of humanity—

fabric meshing with a function to yield

material light as a dream. Protective,

comforting, eminently versatile

in the face of life’s hard weather,

no finer cloth could I provide

precious Starship Earth as boldly it goes

to discover new realms of peace and love.
