Neon Prism Gaze by Danica Cvieta Milić

Photo Art © Carl Scharwath

Neon Prism Gaze

In neon-lit streets, where shadows play,

A prism's gaze refracts the city's sway,

Vibrant hues ignite, like sparks fly,

Unleashing energy, a futuristic delight.

Yellow-orange whispers, a joyful shout,

Optimism bursts, as creativity sprouts,

Bold and bright, like a sunrise high,

Illuminating paths, where dreams take flight.

Pink pulses beat, like a techno heart,

Retro-futurism, a modern work of art,

Green lasers cut, through the urban haze,

A neon dreamworld, where individuality's praised.

In this kaleidoscope, we find our stage,

A world of self-expression, where we engage,

Unconventional, playful, and boldly lit,

The neon prism's gaze invites us to emit.

A burst of energy, a creative spark,

In this vibrant dawn, we leave our mark.

REVEALING By Danica Cvieta Milić

REVEALING

How can I not thank
Life for having you now?
How can I not think of you
if you are the owner of my mind?
How can I forgive time for not
allowing me to discover you before?
How can I not understand that
the past is the same present?
How could I know that you were hiding
behind a star and this universe
had not revealed your shadow yet?

Blue universe where I shine
because you give me your light,
deep universe as deep as your love...
How can I not reveal myself to you,
if you are me and I am you?
With your love you do magic
from nothing and nothing
becomes everything
in your presence!

Goddess of green by Sabrina Rubin

Anirudh Bharat

Goddess of green

This city is overcast today.

Yet as I stand by the window, peering past the black grill,

I see the roads buzzing with rickshaws, cars, and people.

Though my world is confined within fifteen hundred square feet,

I hardly need even that much space.

I stay awake at night,

But my truce with the stars ended long ago.

Life now drifts on like a cactus

Pierced by the pain or affection of this rare, square-shaped machine.

Sometimes I wonder...

Would it have been better if I were not human,

but a fruit-bearing tree instead?

They say trees have no hearts,

No sorrow, no pain,

No hopes, no longing,

No love, no joy

Yet nature befriends them.

They speak with stars,

Fall in love with the moonlight.

Quench their thirst in countless monsoons.

And in the end,

In buds, leaves, blossoms, roots,

Fragrance, fruits, and the shade of tender care

Worn-out Tree Goddess gives herself away.

The Door by Carl Scharwath

The Door

{A story poem}

In the quiet of twilight, where the edges of dreams blur with reality, an old man stands before a door. It is not just any door; it is the door. Weathered wood, splintered by time, and hinges rusted with a forgotten life. The door stands as a sentinel of memory, guarding the threshold between what was and what could be.

He reaches out a trembling hand, fingers tracing the grain, feeling the stories etched into its surface. Each line, each knot, a chapter of a life lived. The door is heavy with the weight of years, yet it swings effortlessly in the realm of dreams, inviting, beckoning.

In a room somber with twilight,

an old man sits,

his silhouette

a ghost of yesterdays.

Shadows span across the walls,

whispering secrets of time,

silent witnesses

To dreams once held, now dissolved.

His hands, rough and worn,

trace patterns in the air,

a ritual of absence,

a prayer for what was lost

The clock ticks on,

a metronome to his solitude,

each second a heartbeat,

every minute of a lifetime.

The door is freedom,

beckoning, seducing

promising a life of

memories untold, unshared.

The prison of the room

as silence reigns supreme

he finds a kind of peace,

a quiet place to dream.
