Don’t let the light by Nolcha Fox

Art © Mike Armstrong

Don’t let the light

seep through the sutures of your skull,

don’t let it set your hair ablaze.

It’s hard enough to fit

into this dark and dreary world

without everybody noticing your fire.

This poem appears in “End of Earth: A Collaboration of Poetry and Painting” by Nolcha Fox and        Mike Armstrong
