Fire and Bees by Kenneth Pobo

FIRE AND BEES

I descend

into a dishwasher,

battle the slurg

weep with scalded plates.

Wet eyelashes

cover me in vision.

Upstart time pulls

a rug out

from under me,

threads made of fire

and bees.
