My Religion? Cat
The girl lifts the grey cat. Her face
is now a cat's. Life should stop here.
Light should highlight only this.
My religion? Cat. Or newt. If we could say.
The girl and I take a detour, stroll
down the lane fenced by the ruined houses
and a gathering that will let our blood
be a fresh flood if we are to be killed here and now.
