Snow Night
The wind presses
its palms to the glass.
We unfold wool
blankets in front of the picture
window, tuck in
and fill with sleep
as the fork in the oak
fills with snow. My bundled
dreams romp through
drifts, return blowing
into their cupped hands.
I wake with my fingers
in your hair.
