America by Daniel P. Barbare

Veronika Andrews

America

America, hear me, I can speak, hear me utter

these words I am free

I can dream I may be humble

amongst

the masses

but I can shout out

loud for peace and freedom

even though I push a

dustmop I can carry the heart with a single flame.
