Dancing by Tina Hudak

Dancing

She was never in the mix

of things. Really.

Not here and not there.


She was never the one

others gravitated toward,

or one from which they

walked away.


She was just there.

Or here. In the mix

by default, or

at the edges.


Until the music started

thumping and bumping.

Then, one might say, 

she was the mix as the

chords and keys 

electrified her nerves. 

Yes, vibrated all around 

her like an aura, until the 

last note was played.
