Mighty as the Sword
We use our words to console broken heart
Words just as mighty as the sword
Words tell the truth, but they also tell lies
Words form a government we want to despise
Words just as mighty as the sword
Words are impressive. They color the thought
Words cut like a knife when we cause a distraught
Words just as mighty as the sword
We use words for beauty, language, and art
Words are imperative if we are to get smart
Words just as mighty as the sword
Words can slay evil and promote what is right
Choose words to spread love; don’t encourage a fight
Words just as mighty as the sword
United we stand, and divided we fall
Use words to gain wisdom and justice for all
Words –mighty as the sword
