Bless This Silence
Bless this silence—
Absence of sound—
One quiet moment after another.
Here is where I’ve arrived,
The journey near complete—
Hectic cycle no more.
Give me an extra day
To revel in contemplation,
Embrace what waits ahead.
Allow mystery its sacred place,
Before night shapes the moon,
And homeward bound I fly—
Stillness of soft light.
