A Late October by Kenneth Pobo

A LATE OCTOBER

 

dahlia pinks 

a gray road 

that death walks on  

looking for flowers.

 

He steps closer.

 

His icy grip clutches.  

So it blooms,  

 

fiercely 

and perfectly.
