Three Tanka Poems by Barbara Anna Gaiardoni

Three Tanka Poems

during the storm
glaring flashes
of lightning
no smoke
just panic

***

one by one
they fall the masks
deposition after deposition
balance begins
to crack

***

old lovers
a shining darkness
called the moon
round cheeks
and light eyes
